The Colorado Ranger Horse Association is one of the oldest breed registries in the United States. It created a breed of horses known as Rangerbreds or "The Using Horse of the High Plains". The original Rangerbreds were great cattle working horses with a lot of endurance and a possessed a comfortable gait that was easy on the rider. More on their history can be obtained from the CRHA website which you can get to from my links page.

We like to see Rangerbreds in our pedigrees because we do notice a difference in horses that trace to them. They seem to always want to give a little more and are very tough, willing to work all day. There is a lot of Ranger blood in our horses but two of our favorites our Granite Canyon," The Sire of Sires" and Choya, "Premier Sire of Using Horses".
